“Hello winter, time to get cozy.”
Every year, I get excited for the holidays. Not only does it mean I get to go all out in decorations and indulge in holiday snacks, but it also means that I get to shoot holiday-themed sessions! The ideas and concepts that I collect throughout the year are all hashed out for this limited time. I can finally set my Pinterest list ablaze and try out new things.
The holidays are a magical time. There’s just something different in the air and this keeps the inspiration coming and coming. As I mentioned earlier, I’m ready to set my Pinterest list ablaze. I collect my inspiration sources and organize them on my Pinterest boards. Below I’m sharing some fun holiday shoot ideas to capture this holiday season.
Traditional
Going traditional is always great. These are wonderful keepsake photos. The kinds that are put on holiday cards, sent to our grandparents, and kept in family albums. Of course, furry friends are welcomed.

Creative and Contemporary
Add a splash of artistry with concepts that still show off that holiday spirit. Dive into a holly and berries milk bath or get cozy with a cup of hot cocoa and your favorite sweater. This type of session can be rocked solo or with family and friends.

Edgy and Fine Art
Step your holiday portrait game up a level with pieces that deserve to be framed on your wall. If you’re going to holiday parties (in person or virtually), capture your style or get pumped with a shoot beforehand. Capture ethereal images that are sure to be remembered or be a dazzling fashionista that turns heads.
